Етнічне визначення середньовічних пам’яток на перших Археологічних з’їздах На археологічних з’їздах достатньо часто розглядалися питання, пов’язані з етнічним визначенням середньовічних археологічних пам’яток. Вже на І АЗ О. С. Уваров визначив кордони літописного племені мерян, віднесених їм до фінського етносу, виділивши ряд специфічних рис, властивих їх курганним похованням. На ІІ АЗ О. П. Волкинштейн відзначив, що жальники належали слов’янам. А. І. Павінський на ІІІ АЗ виділив основні риси поховань західних слов’ян VІІІ—ІХ вв. Д. Я. Самоквасов на цьому ж з’їзді виділив особливості курганних поховань слов’янського племені сіверян. На IV АЗ Л. К. Івановський виділив кургани, пов’язані з племенем весь. На V АЗ Н. Е. Бранденбург відзначив схожість курганів X—XI ст. південного узбережжя Ладозького озера з мерянськими. Він же на VI АЗ виділив серед фібул Х—ХІ вв. типи, що відносяться до скандинавів і фінів. Н. І. Троїцкий на VII АЗ виділив кордони розселення племені суличів. Все це свідчить про важливість для археологів того часу визначення етнічної приналежності середньовічних пам’яток. V. Skirda. The ethnic Definition of Medieval Monuments at the First Archaeological congresses The questions, connected with ethnic definition of medieval archaeological monuments, were often enough considered at the Archaeological Congresses. Already on I AC A. S. Uvarov has defined borders of an annalistic tribe of merja, carried him by to the Finnish ethnos, having marked out a number of the specific features, characteristic for them burial mounds. At ІІ AC A. p. Volkinshtein has noticed, that “jalniki” belonged to Slavs. At ІІІ AC A. I. pavinsky has allocated the basic features of burial places of the western Slavs of VІІІ—ІХ A. D. At the same congress D. Y. Samokvasov has allocated features of burial mounds of a slavic tribe of severjane. On IV AC L. K. Ivanovsky marked out the burial mounds, connected with a tribe of ves’. On V AC N. Е. Brandenburg pointed to the similarity of X—XI centuries burial mounds of southern coast of lake Ladoga with merja’s one. At VІ AC among the Х—ХI centuries fibulas he has also allocated the types, which concern to Scandinavians and Finns. At VII AC N. I. Troitsky has noted a settlement borders of a tribe of sulitchi. All of this indicated to the importance for archeologists of that time to define an ethnic property of medieval monuments.ru_RU
